Taxes, Gratuities & Fees

 Taxes

  • State and Local Taxes will be added to all checks unless a valid Tax Exempt Certificate is provided to BTT prior to closing the check.

 

Gratuities

  • A 20% Gratuity may be added to parties of 6+, parties requesting separate checks & credit card tabs not closed out prior to a guest’s departure.

 

Culinary Fee

  • A 5% Culinary Fee will be applied to the food items on all checks. The revenue generated by the fee is utilized to pay kitchen personnel higher wages than would be otherwise possible, without increasing menu item prices (which indirectly also increases taxes and gratuities).  Under MA law, gratuities may not be shared with kitchen personnel. The fee is not applied to beverages (or other non-food items), taxes or gratuities.  This fee is voluntary.  The fee many be excluded from your final check by asking your server or the manager not to apply the fee before ordering, during your meal or to remove it after final check presentation and prior to payment.  BTT and the kitchen personnel greatly appreciate payment of this fee.
